Originally designed and produced in Nepal using hand-spun, dye-free wool, nettle and other materials. The entire process, from fiber extraction to spinning, weaving, and finishing, is done by hand. Spinning and weaving by hand results in rugs that are less damaged and more resilient to friction. The naturally formed thickness and subtle shades of color are gentle and easy to match with any interior. We propose rugs with the theme of making the entrance, the face of your home, stylish and comfortable.
The rugs are designed by Katsuji Wakisaka, a former textile designer for the Scandinavian company Marimekko.
Introduction of the designer
Katsuji Wakisaka is a textile designer born in Kyoto in 1944.
After working for Marimekko in Finland and Jack*Lenore*Larsen in New York, he is currently based in Kyoto as a designer for SOU*SOU.
