| This is the first photo book by Shoki Itsumi, the winner of the first grand prix in GRAPHGATE, a photography/video artist search audition launched in 2023 as a gateway to success for new photography/video artists. The work explores the possibility of "coexistence with development" through photographs taken by the author, who learned of the local troubles caused by solar power development in various regions after the landscape of his hometown, where he was born and raised, was transformed by solar power development. The one-of-a-kind expression created by combining his fieldwork as a researcher with the visual characteristics of photography presents a new relationship between social issues and photographic expression.
