Fuji Edo Kiriko Edo, the original name of present-day Tokyo, is known for the exquisite traditional art of Edo Kiriko Cut Glass. This Fuji Kiriko Vessel has been hand-carved by accomplished Kiriko craftsmen in the likeness of Mt. Fuji using the classic, traditional Edo techniques. With precise and elaborate cuts representing Mt. Fuji’s snow-covered peak, the Kiriko artisans are able to portray the colorful faces of Japan’s sacred mountain in the characteristic Kiriko colors of “ruri” (lapis lazuli blue). This beautiful Kiriko piece may be used as a sake cup, or as a vessel for your favorite hors d'oeuvre. Daruma Edo Glass Sake Cup In a tradition that has been handed down since the Edo Era, this charming Daruma sake cup is made using a technique called “Overlay Glass”. Fill with your favorite Sake and watch the Daruma’s flushed, red face wobble in a drunken dance! Ever rising after a fall, the Daruma is a Japanese symbol of luck and tenacity. Use this vessel as a Sake cup, or as a small side plate for any appetizer. |
